Elements in the Stars

Atoms are found everywhere, from the iron core of the earth to the stars out in space. Many astronomers want to know what these celestial bodies are composed of, however are unable to just take a piece of them for obvious reasons, they have to do their analysis remotely using their telescopes and observing their light emissions. This is much easier due to the fact that when elements are heated up they give specific wave lengths of light.
